The ISFG Mini Symposia
IMS
Training and educational events in the field of forensic genetics
ABOUT IMS
Providing education and training in forensic genetics is one of the main goals of the ISFG - International Society for Forensic Genetics.
Apart from the regular scientific meetings, the ISFG has been organizing workshops on various topics, both online (ISFG Summer School) and onsite (pre-ISFG Congress workshops), and wishes to extend education in a more regular fashion throughout the year.
In 2026, the shift has been marked by virtual symposia featuring international experts on specialized topics, creating a new stage of global online training and education engagement.
The aim of the ISFG Mini Symposia (IMS) is to cover specific forensic genetic topics that have currently shown increasing interest in training and education, according to requests and feedback from previous events.
With this online format, the meetings are open to anyone interested in the proposed topic, with capacity for up to 500 participants. ISFG members and students will benefit from reduced registration fees.
